“We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” ~Franklin D Roosevelt

In the GED classroom at RWJD, a bulletin board proudly displays youth’s graduation diplomas from high schools, trade schools, internships, and colleges, showing the successes that some program participants have achieved (photo attached). The youth have worked hard and overcome many hardships to realize their goal.

By donating food, we have removed one important obstacle, making it possible for these youth to focus on their futures. In the words of a youth:

“I just want to say thank you for all the work all of you do to help people like us that need food and doesn’t have sufficient support from parents and family. I’m very greatful for everything.”

She has recently graduated from a trade school, which will no doubt open many doors for her – you helped make this possible. Because of you, these youth are doing more than just surviving; they are moving beyond their lives in the Foster Care system and becoming productive members of our community.

This month’s request:
• peanut butter
• jelly

As always THANK YOU for your continued support.
