My favorite time of year has arrived. The pantry is blossoming like wildflowers. Last Wednesday, I received an unexpected yet exciting email: the JCC Preschool had completed a canned food drive that collected over 750 cans of food! In addition, Trader Joe’s donated 250 brown bags to distribute amongst the students along with $30 of canned food.
I also would like to thank Elana Storch for her idea to collect Chametz from congregants at The New Shul, Young Israel (with a special thanks to Ari Mandel and family), and the members of The Women’s Learning Center. She has picked up and delivered all the donated food from this successful project. Thank you to everyone who participated!
I’ll post photos of all the food in addition to recent Thank You notes from the youth. Everyone’s continued generosity continues to inspire.
This month’s food requests:
2 cans/foil packets of chicken or tuna and 1 can of fruit.
As always, thank you for your continued support!
