Bulletin Board

Despite the many obstacles they face, because of your help, the youth at RWJD have been focusing on pursuing their dreams. The stars on the bulletin board photo tell the story of their achievement:

Rosalind got a job at Zoe’s kitchen
Caitlyn completed her GED
Shania is excelling in college
Cory achieved his forklift certification
Kory is living independently
Danielle was accepted at NAU

Over the past 4 1/2 years, J3T has helped these youth achieve their goals; by filling the pantry, you have helped these youth succeed.

The generosity of this community continues to astound me. In August, Temple Emanuel of Tempe chose J3T as the beneficiary of all the food donated by their congregation on Yom Kippur. The congregation rallied together and donated so much food that we needed help transporting it to RWJD. Our dilemma was funding the truck to collect and deliver the food. The Tempe moving company Just-In Time offered not only their truck, but two men. Their reason? The owner told me that it is important to him to give back to the community. On September 23, the men collected the food and loaded it into the truck; four hours later, they had the food delivered to RWJD. I have attached the photos of Just In Time and the youth at RWJD working together to unload the truck. Thank you, Just In Time – we look forward to working with you in the future.

This month’s request: microwaveable mac n’ cheese
